Michael received his undergraduate degree from George Mason University in 1978, and his law degree from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (where he graduated “With Distinction” and was a member of the Order of the Coif) in 1981. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 1981 and the Oregon State Bar in 1996.
